Abundance means being plentiful or have great amounts of something. We spend so much of our time focusing on what or where we lack that we forget to appreciate all that we have and therefore find it difficult to live fully in abundance.

It starts with reprogramming behaviours, mindsets and patterns. We need to switch from focusing on the negative and start focusing on the positive...but it takes work and practice to get there.

Through journalling, meditation, breathing, yoga and nidra we will spend the next 10 days working on abundant skills and practices.Tune into the positive and live in your abundance!

'You've got to wake up each morning with determination if you're going to go to bed with satisfaction' George Lorimer

Being abundant and having an abundance mindset bleeds into every part of your life

  • your thoughts

  • your job

  • your family

  • your food

  • your bank account

  • your friends

Research has shown that we become the average of the 5 people we spend the most time with. Do the people you spend time with constantly complain, grumble and look at life as though it's selling them short? Or are they positive, happy, content and willing to work for what they want?

Seek out people who believe in you, admire you and inspire you. Today's journal task isn't an easy one and one I would suggest doing in private.

Write down three columns. You can name these what you want or code them incase anyone was to stumble across your journal. One column will be for people who are negative and drag you down, one column will be for people who inspire you and support you and the last column will be for neutral people. Think family, friends, co-workers and neighbours. ANYONE who you have contact with that could influence you.

People can move between the columns over the months or years and it might be interesting to do this task again in a years time and reflect. The goal is to spend more time with the people in positive or neutral columns. Sometimes those in the negative column need to be phased out of our lives as they limit our abundance. Sometimes this isn't possible but hopefully you can learn to not allow their negativity to have an influence over you.

Today I want you to set aside about 30 minutes for a Yoga Nidra practice. You will do one at the beginning of the 10 days and one at the end. Perhaps journal about how you feel and what you visualised after each meditation as well. Get comfortable. Make sure you have quiet and time. Press play and drift away.

'If you want your life to be different you have to be willing to do something different first' Kevin Bracey

Our journey towards happiness, abundance and positivity often begins with an inner pull, a call to discover who we really are, to investigate our lives and how we live them.

As we ask these questions, but we need to give ourselves space to wonder, as we listen inwardly and from that we find truth.

Maybe we find answers. Maybe we don’t. But through this investigation and our practice we learn and from that we change.

Today we explore our negative mindsets and negative imprints.

  1. I want you to write down negative beliefs that you have about yourself. This could be 'I am lazy', 'I am terrible at saving money', 'I don't deserve love.'

  2. Once you have a list this could be 3 to 10 then identify where this belief came from. School, parents, friends, ex, etc

  3. Is this belief still true or not?

  4. Can you turn this negative mindset or belief into something positive? Ex. I am shy = I am a deep listener and in tune with others

In this meditation, you’ll develop mental flexibility and tenacity by highlighting the aspect of letting go. Allow yourself to begin to release negative mental mindsets and narratives that we hold onto. We often don't realise how tightly we’re holding onto an idea, belief, or thought and the effect that this can have on our positivity and feelings of abundance. This leaves us feeling instead in a scarcity mindset. When you get caught in this tight hold, you limit your possibilities for seeing things any other way, and this can often lead to frustration, disappointment, or a sense of dissatisfaction. This meditation will help you practice letting go to open yourself back up to the abundance of what is possible right now.

'One of the saddest things in life is to get to the end and look back in regret, knowing that you could have been, done and had so much more' Robin Sharma

Today we explore external and internal pressure. Where it comes from? Does it make us abundant? Do we know when we need to rest and if so do we then rest when needed?

Being abundant and having an abundant mindset doesn't mean being strung out, overworked and stressed.

Today you will journal about one or many of the below questions. Choose to write about the ones that strike you first and feel like the need exploring.

  • What is my relationship with rest?

  • Where did I learn that I should always be making progress?

  • Why am I trying to keep up with the pace of machines?

  • Why the rush?

  • Who taught me struggle had to be part of my life?

  • Why do I keep myself busy all the time?

  • How can I bring more stillness into my life?

  • What am I trying to avoid by staying busy all the time?

  • What am I trying to prove my being busy all the time?

  • Where do I sacrifice my happiness for efficiency and productivity?

Today we will work on breathing techniques and pranayama to build a sense of abundance throughout every cell of the body. Pay attention to how you feel now and how you feel when the practice is over.

'Success is something you attract by the person you become' Jim Rohn

Acts of abundance are sent to the universe constantly. With everything we do and how we behave we are sending signals about our abundance mindset and it is being transmitted back to us. This starts at the very beginning of your day when you wake up or when you incessantly hit snooze. This resistance to waking up is signalling to the universe that we would rather be unconscious and inactive than in fact living and creating the lives that we want.

Think back to a morning that you genuinely were excited to get out of bed. Maybe Christmas morning, maybe to catch a flight or maybe your birthday. Write about those feelings, the sensations and the movement.Recreate that experience of waking up feeling energised and excited. Once you've written about it with as much detail as you can close your eyes. Visualise yourself for the next 10 days getting out of bed in the morning with that much purpose and excitement.

Today's meditation is about finding your why. To live a life filled with abundance we should feel connected with a purpose and a why. When you’re not clear about your reason for meditating and what abundance you want for your life, you may easily find yourself uninspired to practice and be positive. In this meditation, you’ll consider your “why” and connect with your reason for showing up. Connecting with your motivation will carry you through moments of resistance and negativity, and on the other side, you’ll discover your resilience which will lead to abundance.

'An extraordinary life is all about daily, continuous improvements in the areas that matter most' Robin Sharma

Our definition of ourselves plays into our ability to live our most abundant lives. What is your self worth? Where did you understand of self worth come from? We need to start picking apart these narratives and working through them so that we can start to unlock blocks and feel more open and attuned to the abundance that is around us.

Choose one or a few of the questions below to journal on. Some may strike you and cause lots of emotions or thoughts and some may be a struggle. You can always return to these questions at different points in your life and see what ones resonate with you then and why.

  • What does self-worth mean to me?

  • What parts of myself have I hidden in order to fit in?

  • What kind of person have I been taught I should be?

  • How have I watered myself down?

  • Why am I afraid to be my true self?

  • What is something no one could ever take away from me?

  • Who am I not?

  • Who am I?

  • What do I measure my worth by?

  • Who can I be my true self with?

This 30 minute long yoga class gets your exploring all kinds of abundance. We will open our hearts, connect to the ground and our breath and find a sense of abundance from the tips of our toes to our finger tips. This class is great to do first thing in the morning to start your day with positivity and carry it through the rest of your day or week!

'It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. Once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things being to happen' Muhammad Ali

Divide your page into 3 columns

In one column write down where you feel you lack abundance. This can be physical, emotional, relationships etc

In the second column write down where you feel you are abundant

In the third column write down everything you could desire to be more abundant. Don't hold back here. DREAM BIG!

Once you have filled in the columns draw lines to where you feel you are lacking abundance to your dream big abundance column. You will then choose 3 of the lack statements and turn them into affirmations.

Example: I struggle to make friendships connects to I have a great network of friends and community. = I am positive, friendly and warm. I attract like minded people to me and make lasting connections.

Today we visualise our abundant lives. We will go deep into our subconscious and bring forward what we desire and need to feel abundant. This is a great meditation to repeat over and over again. The more you visualise these concepts, ideas and images of abundance the more you will call to the universe to receive them. Feel free to journal after this meditation or add to your lists.

'Ideas can come from anywhere and at any time. The problem with making metal notes is that the ink fades very rapidly' Rolf Smith

How do you feel about your body? How do you treat your body? Our physical body is the vessel that will carry us through our whole lives and connect us to the earth, our family, friends and lovers. We send signals out to the universe through every cell of our body. What kind of signlas will you be transmitting if you don't see your body as abundant, amazing and sensational?

Choose one or a few of the questions below to journal on. Some may strike you and cause lots of emotions or thoughts and some may be a struggle. You can always return to these questions at different points in your life and see what ones resonate with you then and why.

  • What have I been taught to believe about how my body should look?

  • How am neglecting or abusing my body?

  • Do I treat my body as an enemy or as a friend?

  • If I could write a love letter to my body, what would it say?

  • If my body could write a letter to me, what would it say?

  • Where do I hold pain in my body?

  • How do I treat my body like a machine?

  • How does my relationship with my body keep me trapped?

  • How can I practise with peace with my body?

  • What am I doing when I feel most connected to the power within my body?

Today we will connect with the power and miracle that is breathing and our body. We will learn give thanks and gratitude to our body by breathing deeper, wider and fuller. We will feel abundant through this breath work and absorb these sensations through our skin, muscles, cells and bones.

'On the one hand, we all want to be happy. On the other hand, we all know the things that make us happy. But we don't do those things. Why? Simple. We are too busy. Too busy doing what? Too busy trying to be happy' Matthew Kelly

Making progress isn't always easy. When we strive for change we will be met with resistance, struggle and strife. We get comfortable with the normal ebbs and flows of our life and our thoughts and when we push to alter and change these we wil feel a natural push back against it. This feeling can be uncomfortable and test us. There is no way to create change and start new habits in an easy way, we need to surrender to these uncomfortable sensations and allow them to wash over us.

Choose one or a few of the questions below to journal on. Some may strike you and cause lots of emotions or thoughts and some may be a struggle. You can always return to these questions at different points in your life and see what ones resonate with you then and why.

  • Where am I still at resisting this change with myself?

  • What weapons of self-destruction or self-sabotage do I use?

  • What guilt and shame am I holding onto?

  • Why do I feel like I don't deserve abundance?

  • What do I need to let go of in order to create space for the life I want?

  • How do I feel about the unknown?

  • What are my beliefs around letting go?

  • Why do I feel the need to be in control all the time?

  • What am I afraid will happen if I live a life of abundance?

  • Where am I holding back my love?

  • Am I willing to trust in the power of abundant thinking?

When a moment of discomfort or agitation arises, you may notice all of your reactions that rise with it. Rather than following those reactions, you can make the choice to stay and lean in to the discomfort. When you allow yourself to feel and sit with what is coming up for you, you are cultivating an inner strength that is able to accommodate whatever arises.

'The only exercise most people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, sidestepping responsibility and pushing their luck' Unknown

One of the keys to living a life where you are consciously connected to abundance is through a gratitude practice. A nightly ritual of a gratitude practice is very important, especially if you feel like you are lacking abundance in your life. When you do this practice you consciously decide every night to actively and mindfully note the positive, incredible or happy moments in your day and create a positive expectation for the next. Your life is who you are on the most primal and deepest level. Therefore this is made up of internal components, attitudes and mindsets that can give you power to alter enhance or change your life situations at any given moment.

Get a new journal and place it beside your bed. Tonight you will write 20 things that you feel grateful for. It might be challenging. You might get stuck after 5. I want you to close your eyes and replay the entire day. What moments made you feel happy, whole, abundant or connected? If you already have a gratitude practice choose one from the list and write about why you are grateful for it. This simple practice has great power to change your mindset and bring in more abundance every single day.

Welcome to your yoga nidra on relaxation. In this nidra I want you to try to let as much go mentally, physically or emotionally as you possibly can. I want you to allow the floor, mat, bed or couch that you’re laying on to act as a sponge absorbing all of your stress, anxiety and worry away from you. We will allow ourselves to relax into the abundance of this restorative practice.

DAY 10

'Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualise not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualising the impossible, the begin to see it as possible' Cherie Carter-Scott

They work to transform the way you think and feel so you can overcome limiting beliefs and a scarcity mindset and replace them with an abundant mindset and positive life.

Choose one or a few of the questions below to journal on. Some may strike you and cause lots of emotions or thoughts and some may be a struggle. You can always return to these questions at different points in your life and see what ones resonate with you then and why.

  • What does abundance mean to me?

  • What am I afraid of with abundance?

  • How am I trying to block abundance?

  • How do I express my abundance?

  • Who helps me feel abundant?

  • How can I use abundance as energy for transformation?

  • Where did I learn about a scarcity mindset from?

  • Who is a pillar of living an abundant lifestyle?

  • How can I create space in my life to feel abundant?

  • What is one small action I can take today that will support my abundance?

You've spent the last 10 days working on yourself, your limiting beliefs and developing an abundant mindset. Today is about taking time to appreciate your efforts. This meditation will help you reflect on all the ways you’ve invested in yourself and the good you’ve done, and how that can have an impact on the people and world around you.
